1. Where will our session take place? Do you have a studio?
I am an on location photographer and do not work out of a studio. Location choice is completely up to the client, I always like to choose a location to match your style; your home and yard, a favorite park, beach or tennis court, a downtown urban area, a beautiful garden, field or farm are all great ideas! Be creative and pick a location that fits you!
2. What to Wear
Always check the Love Byrd website for what to wear guides. Color schemes always look good in family portraits, try to stay away from busy intricate patterns. Think about your setting and try to coordinate your clothing based off of that. For example, if we are doing a photo shoot at a farm you would want to avoid urban wear and go for the vintage dress and cowboy boots.
3. How many outfit changes do you allow?
As many as you want however, the time it takes to change looks takes away from the scheduled session time.
4. Can I do more then one location?
Yes! However, the location will have to remain within 4 miles of the original location.
5. What if it rains on the day of my session? What if my child is sick?
Yes, I try to be as flexible as possible. Note: overcast days are not the same as rainy days. Unless their is definite rain the shoot will still be carried out as scheduled. If you or a child is sick please let me know as soon as possible. Re-booking fees so apply.
6. How soon do you book up? When should I schedule my session?
I recommend booking your appointment at least two weeks in advance. For events please book a month in advance.
7. How long before I will see my images?
Image processing can take between 2-3 weeks, you then will either be sent a digital download or view and share CD.
8. What is a View and Share CD? Can I print anywhere I want?
A view and share CD is a digital file that contains all your photos on a medium resolution format, each image is watermarked with the Love Byrd Photography logo and is intended for uploading on Social Mediums such as Facebook, Twitter, and email. These images are copyright protected and as the photographer I have sole ownership over the photos. I do offer the CD or individual photos in a high resolution format without logos or metadata however it is an additional fee, you then have the rights to the photos and can reproduce the photos in any way that you wish and print however you wish.
9. I am pregnant and would like maternity photos, when is the best time?
I recommend scheduling your session about 4 to 6 weeks before your estimated due date.
10.I am interested in a newborn session, how does that work?
If you are interested in a portrait session for your newborn, please contact me before your baby is born! I photograph newborns in the first two weeks of life, and preferably within the first 10 days! so it is important that you contact me before so i can leave my schedule light around your due date.
11. I love your work but I’m not in the Atlanta area, is there any way to hire you?
Yes. please contact me for my travel fee to your location. You may also have friends who may want to book a session and split the fee with you.
12. Are all photo sessions posted on your blog?
Almost! As an artist, I own the sole rights to all the photos taken. To complete my artistic vision, I create blog posts which are compiled of collages and quotes. These posts are not included in packaging and are done on my own time to showcase my work as an artist. By paying your session fee, you are agreeing to the above and if you would like to purchase the sole rights to your photos you may do so for the fee’s mentioned on the print packages page. Minor releases are required for all sessions with me. I will not photograph anyone if they refuse a model release.
13. Refunds
There are no refunds for photo sessions. If there for some reason was a mistake made (ie. computer error, lost photos, corrupted photos, clear and evident error) then a reshoot will be scheduled. There are no refunds on prints, if there is damage to the prints I will contact the printing company and have them reissue prints, if there was a mistake made on my end on sizing, etc. I will be sure to immediately fix the mistake.
